Andrew Dreitcer is Associate Professor of Spirituality & Director of Spiritual Formation at Claremont School of Theology and Associate Professor of Religion at Claremont Graduate University. Andy's M.Div. from Yale and his Ph.D. in Christian Spirituality from the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley, focused on the roles of scripture in spirituality, and his publications include the co-written Beyond the Ordinary: Spirituality for Church Leaders (Eerdmans, 2000). Andy's studies with Henri Nouwen and a year spent at the community of Taizé significantly shaped what was a 15-year ministry as a Presbyterian pastor, as well as a stint as co-founding director of a seminary training program in spiritual direction. Andy lives in Fairfax with his spouse, Steffani and two wisdom figures (teenage daughters Hannah and Monica).
