
Andrew Dreitcer Bio
Andrew Dreitcer is associate professor of spirituality and director of spiritual formation at Claremont School of Theology and associate professor of religion at Claremont Graduate University. A summa cum laude graduate of Wabash College, he has studied at Oxford University, received a Masters degree from Yale Divinity School, and earned a Ph.D. in Christian Spirituality from the Graduate Theological Union, Berkeley. His publications include the co-written Beyond the Ordinary: Spirituality for Church Leaders (Eerdmans, 2000). He has been a pastor and retreat leader, was the co-founding director of a groundbreaking seminary formation program for spiritual directors, and spent a year at the French, ecumenical, monastic community of Taize. Andrew lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with a poet (his wife) and two wisdom figures (teenaged daughters).
